Role Purpose

The Risk Management Intern will support the Risk function in implementing and maintaining the organization’s risk management framework. The role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise risk assessment, controls testing, governance processes, and GRC systems, while supporting day-to-day risk-related activities under supervision.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Support the Executive Manager – Program, Risk & Business Analysis in:
  2. Risk assessment activities, including risk identification, risk scoring, and documentation
  3. Updating and maintaining risk registers and risk matrices
  4. Assist in controls testing activities by:
  5. Collecting evidence from risk and control owners
  6. Documenting control effectiveness results
  7. Supporting follow-ups on gaps or deficiencies identified
  8. Support the updating and maintenance of the GRC system, including:
  9. Uploading risk, control, and action data
  10. Tracking action items and mitigation progress
  11. Ensuring data accuracy and completeness
  12. Assist with preparation of risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and governance forums, as required
  13. Support periodic risk reviews and coordination with business stakeholders
  14. Help ensure alignment with internal policies, procedures, and risk management standards
  15. Perform any other task as assigned by the Risk function, in line with the intern’s role and learning objectives

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Undergraduate or recent graduate in:
  2. Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, Engineering, or related field
  3. Basic understanding or strong interest in:
  4. Risk management, internal controls, governance, or compliance
  5. Data analysis and reporting
  6. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint (Power BI, Tableau or GRC tools is an advantage but not required)
  7. Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills
  8. Good communication skills and willingness to learn
