Implements the Department Strategy and Category plans
Sets Department Budgets for approval by the Chief Commercial Officer
Is responsible for the Department’s economic performances (sales, gross margin, inventory, P&L)
Defines / maintains the Assortment based on category plan
Selects local & import items, negotiates & purchases
Completes feasibility studies prior to each show to be reviewed and approved by Commercial Director
Develop Private Label products
Prices the items, based on pricing guidelines
Identifies promo items and prices each item andsubmits forecasting/relevant reordering info to replenishment
Selects local & international suppliers, negotiates & purchases, to expected needs in accordance with guidelines and standards (cost price, discounts, rebates, payments term discounts)
Attends international fairs and negotiates prices and quantities with imports suppliers
Reviews annually and manage any issues with local & international suppliers
Sign-off Local & Foreign orders
Sign-off letter of credit.
Manages foreign suppliers' claims
Follow up with QC for SASOrequirements.
Ensure proper merchandising (guidelines, allocations…) in coordination with space planning team
Manages clearance of CTE and over stocks and controls Margin fluctuation and Shrink
Manages Inventory through exceptional reports (CTE, Ranging, Aging, Slow moving Stocks)
Ensures proper contribution to E-Commerce
Visits Stores and competition on a weekly basis
